Terms of use

UsePaid is a bridge between token creator fees and X Money. When a token directs its creator fees to UsePaid, we claim those fees on chain, convert the recipient share to dollars, and send it to the X account named in the token's metadata.

UsePaid does not issue tokens, operate a launchpad, run a market, make a market, or provide financial, investment, legal or tax advice. It does not custody your wallet and never asks for a private key or a seed phrase. Registration is permissionless: no application is made to us and no approval is given by us.

“UsePaid”, “we” and “us” in this document mean UsePaid, which operates this site, the protocol described on it and the payout service. “You” means whoever is reading it, in whichever of the two roles clause 3 and clause 4 set out.

Using the site, launching a token that directs fees to UsePaid, or otherwise interacting with the service means you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not direct fees to UsePaid.

UsePaid

The operator of this site, the protocol described on it, and the payout service. Referred to as we and us.

Deployer

The person who launches a token and directs its creator fees to UsePaid.

Recipient

The X account named in a token's metadata as the destination for the recipient share.

Creator fees

The fees a launchpad pays to a token's creator wallet in respect of trading in that token.

Claim

An on-chain transaction in which UsePaid collects accrued creator fees for a registered token.

Recipient share

80% of a claim, payable to the recipient.

Protocol cut

20% of a claim, retained by UsePaid and spent on $PAID buybacks.

Hold period

7 days, being the period a balance is held for a recipient who cannot yet receive it.

You are not a party to these terms and you have not agreed to anything. A token can name any X account without that account's knowledge, consent or involvement, and nothing in this document imposes an obligation on a recipient.

A share of claimed fees becomes payable to your handle and is paid when your X Money account is able to receive it. Receiving a payment does not create a relationship between you and UsePaid, or between you and whoever launched the token. It does not make you a customer, a partner, a promoter or an endorser of anything, and no payment should be read as any of those things.

If you do not wish to receive payments, that is controlled in X Money, which governs who may pay you generally. UsePaid honours that setting and does not operate a separate list. If you would prefer your handle not to appear on this site, clause 14 tells you where to ask.

You are responsible for the token you deploy and for everything about it, including its name, ticker, artwork, description and the lawfulness of launching it where you are. Directing creator fees to UsePaid does not make UsePaid the token's issuer, promoter, operator or sponsor, and you must not represent that it does.

You are responsible for the handle you name. You must not name an account in order to imply an endorsement, affiliation, partnership or approval that does not exist, and you must not name an account in order to harass, defame or impersonate any person.

Registration is permissionless and there is no review queue. That is not a statement that anything is permitted. UsePaid may decline to claim fees for a token, decline to pay out against it, or remove it from the site, at any time and without notice.

Every claim divides the same way: 80% to the recipient and 20% retained as the protocol cut. The split is fixed, it is identical for every token, and UsePaid takes nothing on top of it. The protocol cut is spent buying $PAID on the open market and burning it, as described on the $PAID page.

Payouts are made through X Money, which is operated by X and not by UsePaid. Its availability, limits, fees and eligibility rules are X's. UsePaid cannot change them, override them, or guarantee that any particular recipient is able to receive a payment.

Amounts are converted to dollars at the point of payout. Anything you receive is yours to report. UsePaid does not withhold tax and does not give tax advice.

Where a recipient cannot yet receive a payment, their share is recorded in the ledger and held rather than paid. It is paid as soon as the account can receive it, and no action is required from the recipient to keep it.

A balance that remains unpayable for 7 days after it first becomes payable is recycled into a $PAID buyback. Held balances are recorded separately from protocol-cut buybacks so that the two can be told apart in the ledger.

You must not use UsePaid to:

impersonate any person or organisation, or imply an association that does not exist; harass, threaten or defame anyone, including by naming their handle as a recipient; launder money, evade sanctions, or process the proceeds of crime; circumvent the eligibility rules of X Money or of any launchpad; scrape, overload, probe or interfere with the site or its infrastructure; or misrepresent UsePaid's role, the split, or the status of any payment.

The service is offered as available. UsePaid may change, suspend or discontinue any part of it, and may stop claiming or paying out for any token, at any time. Where a suspension affects amounts already owed to a recipient, those amounts remain recorded in the ledger.

The UsePaid name, marks, site design and written content belong to UsePaid. Token names, tickers and artwork belong to whoever created them and are shown to identify a registered token. X, X Money, pump.fun, pons.family, Robinhood and four.meme names, marks and badges belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify those services. See the disclosures page.

The service is provided as-is and as-available, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.

On-chain systems fail, RPC providers go down, claims revert, launchpads change their fee mechanics, and third-party rails change their rules without notice. UsePaid does not guarantee that any fee will be claimable, that any claim will succeed, that any payment will settle, that any figure shown is current, or that the service will be available at any given time.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, UsePaid is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary loss, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill or token value, however caused.

UsePaid's total liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the total protocol cut it actually retained in respect of the token giving rise to the claim in the twelve months before the event. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Tokens are high risk. UsePaid is not responsible for the value or behaviour of any token, including $PAID, and is not responsible for the acts of any launchpad, chain, bridge or payment rail it depends on.

If you launch a token that directs fees to UsePaid, you will indemnify UsePaid against claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from that token, from the handle you named, or from your breach of these terms. This clause does not apply to recipients, who are not parties to these terms.

These terms may change. The version in force is the one published here, and the effective date and version at the top of this page identify it. Material changes will be noted on the site. Continuing to direct fees to UsePaid after a change means you accept the version then published.

UsePaid is contactable at @UsePaid on X. That is the only channel: there is no support address, and a message sent anywhere else does not reach us.

Note that on-chain records cannot be deleted by UsePaid or by anyone else, and that whether an account can be paid at all is a setting on X Money rather than something UsePaid controls.
